随着我国游戏产业迅猛发展，网络游戏公司正成为继互联网企业之后又一就业热点。2007年，我国游戏产业增加了近1万个工作岗位，同比增速是2006年的近5倍。这是由中国出版工作者协会游戏工作委员会和国际数据公司（IDC）日前联合发布的《2007年度中国游戏产业调查报告》所显示的数据。调查显示，受中国网络游戏自主研发新公司数量大幅增加和几大上市公司扩编人员的影响，2007年中国网络游戏研发从业人数达到21034人，较2006年增长51.2%，大大高于2005年至2006年11%的增速。据《2007年中国游戏产业报告》预测，2008年游戏行业仍将存在巨大的人才缺口，尤其是优秀的游戏策划人员。
  智联招聘最近4天内公布的游戏相关的职位数是590个，其中有不少企业标明起薪4000元。太和顾问薪酬顾问左婧溪透露，网络游戏中关键职位的平均薪资要比行业平均薪资高出25%左右，手机游戏平均薪资则高出40%，关键职位指高级游戏设计、程序开发等人员。在深圳，游戏程序开发人员、策划、美工等工资一般在5000-7000元左右。特别是游戏策划人员属于热销的职位，有过三年以上游戏策划经验，并参与策划过大型游戏的“熟练”人员月薪一般都能上万，属于“金领”一族。 据据西安游戏学院（http://www.gamfe.com/jd/）负责人介绍，游戏人员薪水高的原因是，产业发展急需人才，而正规高校培养周期长，满足不了救急需要。北京光宇维思人力资源部经理李勇虎告诉记者：“目前公司最急需的是原画和美工，今年的总体职位需求量在100-200人，其中原画和美工占80%以上，计划到明年年底公司员工将由今年的200多名扩充到1500名。如果没有一个很好的人力资源，很难满足这个需求。
